We Are Up and Running, But We Have a Few Changes
Here’s what you need to know for your next event with us!
Things are almost back to normal. However, we’re still navigating a pandemic, so a few rules and regulations still apply. Our photo booth COVID safety measures help protect you, your guests, and our team.
What We Ask You and Your Guests to Do
- Hand hygiene. Clean your hands often. Please use our hand sanitiser before writing in our album book.
- Physical distancing. Maintain 4 square metres per person when indoors.
- Respiratory hygiene. Cover coughs and sneezes.
- Stay home if sick. Please don’t attend if you’re unwell.
- Cleaning. If hosting a private event, please keep the space clean.
- Don’t touch our equipment. Our staff will operate it for you.
- Report exposure. If our staff are potentially exposed due to a positive case at your event, the event organiser must contact us within one working day. Guests and other suppliers must also be informed.
- Social distancing applies in and around the booth. Members of the same household don’t need to distance from each other.
- Share this info. Please pass this blog on to your guests before the event.

What We’re Doing to Keep You Safe
No contact. Our photo booths are completely touch-free. A photo booth attendant operates the booth for you, so you and your guests never need to touch the equipment. If you’ve chosen to go without an attendant, we’ll supply sanitiser wipes for the screen.
Hygiene. We sanitise all photo booths before and after each event. Our staff carry sanitiser spray for equipment, and we place alcohol-based hand sanitiser next to the album book for guests.
No physical props. Don’t stress it’s not all bad! Many customers actually prefer no props these days, and we’re pros at helping you work around it. Our GIF Photo Booth includes digital props to suit your event, and your attendant will help you create fun poses on the spot. Want to practice early? Check out our guide on how to pose without props.
Social distancing. We need the photo booth set up 2 metres from the backdrop, so a 2.2m x 2.2m space works best. We also need room for a queue. Our team marks the floor with crosses to keep 1.5 metres between guests in line. This keeps our staff safely distanced and helps guests easily see where to stand.
Staff training. Our team is highly trained and socially aware, especially around hygiene and distancing. We know our equipment inside and out, and we follow good practices to keep everyone comfortable.
Compliance. We track COVID-19 updates from the State Government and follow the rules that apply on the day of your event, not the day you booked. We can’t control every guest’s actions, but our staff manage the booth area professionally. If they feel unsafe due to guidelines not being followed, they’ll work with the event organiser to fix it, or leave the event if needed.
Planning ahead. We’ll inform your venue or organiser if a staff member tests positive after your event. We’ll also report confirmed cases to authorities and cooperate fully with any investigation.
